Rockport Challenge 7.2k - 23 January 2011
Congratulations to six SportPlus runners on competing a hard Rockpart 7.2k race on the Peak on 23 January 2011.
Wynnie and Yan finished second and fifth, respectively, in the Ladies category while Pauline won the Ladies 41-50 division. Equally important was the fact that we entered a SportPlus team in the race for the first time with Rayson, Agnes and Armando all playing an important part in the team effort.
Two runners dropped out of the team at the last minute but Pauline arranged for last-minute replacements (including Melissa Yeung Mei Lun who won her division - that's Melissa with our team holding her trophy). However, we preferred to head off for breakfast before we heard the team result! Somehow, it wasn't too important. (We finished second)
We have decided that we will enter SportPlus teams in various competitions in the future although we won't formally set up a SportPlus Running Team quite yet. Maybe later.
